Sajid Sadpara becomes first Pakistani to scale true summit of Mt Manaslu

ISLAMABAD: Sajid Sadpara, son of late legendary climber Ali Sadpara, reached the summit of the eighth highest peak of the world, Mount Manaslu in Nepal, without the aid of supplementary oxygen.

With the remarkable feat, Sajid became the first Pakistani climber to successfully accomplish Manaslu’s 8163 metres expedition as he climbed the ‘true summit’ on Monday afternoon.

The true summit is the final section of Mount Manasulu which is considered to be the most dangerous and technical part.

Sajid has earlier etched his name in history books by completing K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-II (8,035m), and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) and other summits this year.

Last year, he scaled K2, the second-highest mountain, for the second time along with his teammates.
