Second phase of PCB conditioning camp concludes at NHPC today

LAHORE: The second phase of the players’ conditioning camp under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), concluded at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) today.

The second phase of the conditioning camp began on May 30 and was attended by 45 national and domestic cricketers selected by the PCB.

The undertraining players at the conditioning camp took part in two-day practice matches held at the LCCA ground in Lahore. The players also underwent net practice and gym sessions at the NHPC.

Earlier the PCB had conducted the first phase of the conditioning camp from May 15 to May 25.

Second phase of PCB Conditioning to kick off on May 29: Sources

LAHORE: The second phase of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Conditioning Camp has been rescheduled to kick off on May 29, sources claimed.

The second phase of the PCB Conditioning Camp, which was postponed following the political crisis in the country, has been rescheduled to kick off on May 29 at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC).

According to the details, the announced 33 players have been directed to report at the NHPC on May 28.

The second phase of the camp was previously scheduled to begin on May 26 but following the political tensions in the country, the PCB opted to postpone it.

PCB calls sixty players to participate in conditioning camp

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called sixty players to participate in the conditioning camp at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC), scheduled to be held in two phases from May 15 to June 10.

The announced sixty players will form two groups comprising 27 and 33 players respectively. The first group comprises the skipper Babar Azam will participate in the conditioning camp from May 15 to 25.

The group of the remaining 33 players, on the other hand, will participate in the camp from May 26 to June 10.

The players, who are in England, owing to their representation in the ongoing County Championship 2022 have not been called to participate in the camp.

The ODI squad for the home series against the West Indies will be unveiled on May 23. The series’ matches will be contested on June 8, 10, and 12, while the selected players will start training from June 01 in Rawalpindi.
