ADELAIDE: India’s veteran batter Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap as he became the first batter to score 4,000 runs in T20 Internationals, here on Thursday.
The star Indian batter achieved the milestone amid his steady knock in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 against England.
Kohli needed 42 runs to complete 4,000 runs before heading into the all-important game. Meanwhile, his half-century – 37th overall and fourth of the mega event – powered him to script himself into the record books.

It is pertinent to mention that Kohli scored 50 off 40 deliveries, laced with four boundaries and a six. Following his steady knock, all-rounder Hardik Pandya muscled India to a commendable total of 168/8 with a blistering 63-run knock.
Kohli is currently the leading run-scorer in T20Is and also became the highest run-getter in Men’s T20 World Cup history earlier this month.
