Talking about the upcoming series against West Indies, Shadab looked optimistic about the victory against the touring side.

“The series against the West Indies is crucial. We will try to play well,” maintained Shadab. “The team looks good and we hope that our team will succeed.”

The vice-captain has also put his weight behind the right-arm leg spinner Zahid Mehmood and praised him for his domestic performance.

“Zahid Mehmood bowls well in the domestic cricket. His presence will prove to be beneficial for the team,” claimed Shadab

Talking about his experience of playing county season in the UK, the all-rounder claimed that he had learned a lot from the England leg spinner Adil Rasheed and the varying conditions.

“I’ve returned after playing county cricket. The conditions and weather were drastically different out there and I’ve learned a lot from it,” said Shadab. “I’ve also learned a great deal from Adil Rashid.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will clash with the West Indies for the three-match ODI series scheduled to be held on June 8,10 and 12 at Multan Cricket Stadium.
