MIRPUR: Saif Hassan’s 73 from 44 balls, backed up by impressive bowling from Mohammad Saifuddin and Taskin Ahmed, helped Dhaka Capitals crush Chattogram Royals in the 30th fixture of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26.

Chasing a stiff target of 171, Chattogram Royals were skittled for 128 in 19.4 overs.

Taskin Ahmed inflicted a poor start on Royals as Mohammad Haris was sent back for a golden duck in the first over.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy followed him for six while Shadman Islam was caught behind, leaving Royals 19-3 in 2.3 overs.

After early hiccups, Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Naim tried to arrest the slide with a brief 25-run partnership.

The scorecard read 44 in 7.4 overs before another collapse slumped them to 54-6 in 11.3 overs.

The game was done and dusted a long time ago, but Aamer Jamal resisted with a brisk 42 from 26 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.

SYLHET: Tanzid Hasan played an impressive knock of 76 from 43 balls to help Rajshahi Warriors ease past Dhaka Capitals in the 24th fixture of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26.

With this win, Warriors are now in pole position with 12 points in eight games.

Rajshahi Warriors moved to the top spot after chasing down a partly target of 132 in 16.1 overs, losing three wickets in the process.

Muhammad Waseem and Tanzid Hasan started the chase on a positive note with a 38-run stand in 4.2 overs.

Waseem made 22 off 13 with the aid of a six and two fours.

Meanwhile, Tanzid and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto kept the Capitals bowlers away with a 33-run partnership.

Tanzid Hasan did the bulk of the scoring, with the latter being dismissed for five in the eighth over of the game. Shanto could only add five to the total.

At this stage, Rajshahi Warriors were 71-2 with seasoned batter Mushfiqur Rahim joining Tanzid. The pair put on a 44-run partnership, which gave the Warriors the insight they needed for the victory.

SYLHET: Hassan Eisakhil’s sublime knock and an all-round bowling performance led by pacer Ihsanullah led Noakhali Express to an easy win over Dhaka Capitals here in the 22nd fixture of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 on Sunday.

Set a challenging 185-run target, Capitals’ innings folded on 143 in 18.2 overs.

Ihsanullah and Hasan Mahmud inflicted a poor start on Capitals, reducing them to 19-4 in 4.2 overs.

Following the early hiccup, Mohammad Mithun and Shamim Hossain arrested the slide with a half-century stand.

Hossain departed after scoring 29 from 16 with the aid of four boundaries and a six.

Meanwhile, Mithun (33 from 31) was also sent back at the end of the 13th over, which sparked a collapse that Capitals could not recover from.

SYLHET: An imperious unbeaten knock from Nasir Hossain guided Dhaka Capitals to a commanding seven-wicket victory over winless Noakhali Express in a one-sided Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 clash here on Wednesday.

Chasing a modest target of 134, Dhaka suffered an early wobble as openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Abdullah Al Mamun departed cheaply, leaving the Capitals struggling at 14 for two.

However, Nasir Hossain steadied the innings with a decisive third-wicket partnership alongside Irfaan Shukkur, adding 59 runs to wrest control back from Noakhali.

SYLHET: All-round Khushdil Shah and an impressive final over from pacer Mustafizur Rahman helped Rangpur Riders seal a thrilling five-run victory over Dhaka Capitals in the 12th fixture of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26.

Set 156, Capitals fell short by five runs at the end of their 20 overs, with 10 required on the last six balls.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Abdullah Al Mamun provided a solid start with 54 on the board in the first six overs.

However, Kyle Mayers and Khushdil Shah removed both batters in consecutive overs to put Dhaka Capitals back into the game.

Gurbaz made 31 from 22 with the aid of five fours and six, while Mamun hit four boundaries in his 20 off 18.

Despite the wickets, Mohammad Mithun and Saif Hassan were able to lift their side out of trouble as they added 51 for the third wicket partnership. The pair composed a batting partnership that brought the score to 111 in 15.1 overs.

For Rangpur Riders, Khushdil Shah, Kyle Mayers, Mustafizur Rahman, and Al Islam picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, put into bat first, Rangpur Riders were limited to 155-5 in their 20 overs.

Set stiff 174, Capitals scored 167 for 8 at the end of their 20 overs.
