KARACHI: Pakistan’s biggest boating rally has started from here today with dozens of boaters taking part in it.
In the first phase, boaters have reached Ormara from Karachi, covering a distance of 300Km that also includes Charna Island and Continental Shelf.
In the next phase, the boaters will go to Gawadar where the world’s biggest fishing tournament will take place. The fishing tournament will be spread over 650Km between Gawadar and Karachi.
The chief organizer of the Pakistan Boat Rally, Ahmed Mamoor Amimi shared that this boat rally will be unique exciting for all the participants. “We have started our journey from Karachi for this biggest boat rally. We aim to make this event successful,” he said.
Karachi: Top Pakistan cueist Babar Masih has lamented over the lack of financial support from the government despite winning so many medals and championships for the country.
Babar, who hails from Rawalpindi, told ARY News that they are respected so much outside Pakistan and opponents have a fear of them while facing.
“We don’t have any identity in our own country after winnings so many medals. There has been no financial support from stakeholders,” he said.
Babar talked about India’s Pankaj Advani, who has earned crores and the world knows him. “Pankaj has earned 40-50 crores and I can’t explain their level. Our level is so low that we still travel on Rickshaws, lives in a rented house while they roam around in luxurious cars,” he added.
Babar revealed that he doesn’t own a house and I might get back to where I started if I don’t prize money from championships.
It must be noted that last month, Babar lost to Pankaj to manage silver medal in IBSF 6 Red World Cup.
KARACHI: Afghanistan’s left-handed batsman Najibullah Zadran keenly follows Babar Azam and looking forward to learning from one of the current greatest batsmen in the world.
In an exclusive interview with ARY News, Zadran said he is excited to be a part of Karachi Kings which features players like Babar, Imad Wasim, and Martin Guptill.
“I am too excited to be playing the PSL for the very first time. I have heard about Karachi Kings’ fan following and I look forward to playing for them,” he said.
“Babar is my favorite player and I have been following him for a long. It will be an opportunity for me to learn from him as much as I can in Karachi Kings,” he added.
The 28-years-old cricketer shared that Babar has taken the place of Shahid Khan Afridi as one of the most followed cricketers in Afghanistan. “Earlier, it was Shahid Afridi, who was followed mostly in Pakistan. But, today everyone follows Babar, and people who play cricket, want to be like him,” he revealed.
The young cricketer also disclosed that Wasim Akram used to back him a lot during a cricket league. “I worked with Wasim Bhai for two years in a league. He liked my batting a lot and often used to share some tips with me,” he said.
“Inshallah, in the coaching of Wasim Bhai and Herschelle Gibbs, we will try to defend our title,” he concluded.
