Bowlers propel MI New York to humble LA Knight Riders in MLC

DALLAS: A combined effort from MI New York bowlers booked LA Knight Riders for a paltry and led their side to a dominating 105-run victory in the sixth match of the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC).

Set to chase a regulation 156-run target, the LA Knight Riders’ batting lineup failed completely against a disciplined MI New York bowling attack.

The Knight Riders, after a poor start, kept losing wickets at an alarming rate and were eventually bundled out for a mere 50 and thus handed a resounding 105-run victory to MI New York.

Opening batter Unmukt Chand waged a lone battle for the Knight Riders with a run-a-ball 26 while the rest failed completely and could not even make it into the double figures.

For MI New York, Trent Boult, Ehsan Adil, Kieron Pollard, Kagiso Rabada and Nosthush Kenjige picked two wickets each.

Opting to bat first, MI New York accumulated a commendable total of 155/8 in their quota of 20 overs with Tim David leading the charge with a quickfire 48.
