LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the schedule of the President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold, set to be played across four cities — Abbottabad, Haripur, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi.
This will mark the first time the tournament is divided into two tiers — Gold and Silver. The tournament will run from May 12 to June 21.
“The tournament, which serves as qualification pathway for the first-class President’s Trophy Grade-I and List-A President’s Cup, has been split into Gold and Silver tiers for the first time, with 14 top ranked of the 27 teams from the previous edition are set to be in the Gold tier,” the PCB announced in a statement.
“A total of 10 teams will take part in the Silver tier of the tournament scheduled to start from Monday, 18 May. The winner and runners up of the Silver will be promoted to Gold tier, while that of the Gold will move up to the Grade-I first-class and List A tournaments,” it added.
Pool A includes Eshaal Associates, JDW Sugar Mills, MIT Solutions, PHA Rawalpindi, Railways, Ahmed Glass, and Kingsmen Academy.

Meanwhile, Pool B comprises the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Kingsmen, Wing 999 Sports, Ghani Institute, Sardar Group, Port Qasim, and Vital Tea
Pool A matches will be held at Railway Cricket Stadium, Haripur, Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, and National Cricket Ground in Islamabad. Pool B games will be hosted at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad, Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, and Marghzar Cricket Ground in Islamabad.
Each team will play a total of six non-first-class three-day matches in their pool before the top two teams from each group will advance into the semi-finals, which are set to be played simultaneously from June 14 to 16.
The final of the 14-team tournament will take place over four days, from June 18 to 21. The venues for the three knockout matches are still to be decided.
The team that wins the President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold will receive a cash prize of Rs5 million, and the runners-up will get Rs2.5 million.
