Hammad Azam fined 100% match fee for misconduct in President’s Trophy Grade-II

KARACHI: All-rounder Hammad Azam has been fined 100% of his match fee for misconduct during a clash between Kingsmen and Wing 999 Sports in the ongoing PCB President’s Trophy Grade-II Tournament, sources confirmed on Thursday.

The incident took place at the State Bank Ground in Karachi, where Hammad, who is leading the Kingsmen side, lost his cool after being given out by the on-field umpires.

What followed was a heated reaction that saw him misbehave with umpires Rafiq Ahmed and Abdul Kareem, along with making inappropriate remarks towards match referee Ali Gohar.

Both umpires reported the incident to the match referee, triggering formal disciplinary proceedings.

Hammad Azam and the Kingsmen team manager were called in for a hearing, but instead of de-escalating the matter, the all-rounder allegedly continued to display aggressive behaviour, further worsening the situation.
