Pakistan need Tennis courts and coaches: PTF’s president

LAHORE: Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF)’s president Salim Saifullah believes that there is a need of building Tennis courts and produce coaches in the country.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Saifullah said quality players can only be produced by building ample Tennis courts and bringing good coaches in the circuit.

“We direly need Tennis courts and coaches in the country to produce quality players. We have talent but there is a need to facilitate them,” he said.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan has his own vision regarding departments in sports. But, their lack of attention is a concern for the sports industry,” he added.

The President gave the example of Aisam-ul-Haq who he believes could be in top Tennis players in the world.

“Had Aisam belonged to Germany, he would have been in the top 10 players in the world. We aren’t finding the alternates of Aisam and Aqeel Khan,” he said.
