GILGIT: Young Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif, who was found after going missing following his successful expedition of Nanga Parbat will now be rescued by the Pakistan Army from Camp Two, his father Kashif Salman told the media.
In the latest development, Kashif revealed that the Pakistan Army will now be rescuing the climber from Camp two and will drop him to Skardu.
“Just came to know that Army is going to pick Shehroze and Fazal Ali from or below Camp2 and drop him to Skardu,” Kashif stated.
Following this initiative, Kashif also extended his gratitude to Pakistan Amy, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and DG ISPR Babar Iftikhar and claimed the mountaineer would feel honoured by this favour.
“I would like to thank the Chief of Army Staff, Pakistan Army, DG ISPR for this favour of saving his few days although he is very fine health wise and descended down from 7500 m where he got stuck and spent the whole night,” Kashif stated.
“He does not have any idea if he will be honoured getting this favour from Army. But he is going to be very happy I am sure. I would also like to thank the Gilgit Baltistan government for their support throughout,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to mention here that following his successful summit, Shehroze became the youngest to successfully summit Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak in the world, yesterday. Whereas, he already holds the record for being the youngest mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest and K2.

GILGIT: Young Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif, who went missing along with a fellow mountaineer after reaching the summit of the Nanga Parbat yesterday has been found, confirmed his father.
Shehroze, who lost contact with the camp after reaching the summit, has been spotted while descending from the mountain.
Kashif Salman, the father of the young mountaineer, informed that he received an update of his son as he has been traced heading towards Camp 3 from Camp 4 on Nanga Parbat.
“He looks to be fine as we received an update today that he was on his way making a return,” he said.
He further claimed that Kashif and a fellow mountaineer were continuing their journey on their own and were not being rescued.
It is worth mentioning here that Shehroze became the youngest mountaineer to successfully summit Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak in the world, yesterday. Whereas, he already holds the record for being the youngest mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest and K2.

GILGIT: In yet another achievement, the 20-year-old Pakistani mountaineer Shehroz Kashif became the youngest climber in the world to summit Nanga Parbat -8126 meters.
According to details, Kashif reached the summit of Nanga Parbat, located in Gilgit-Baltistan – the ninth highest peak in the world – this morning to achieve the remarkable feat.
Kashif, who already holds the record for being the youngest mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest and K2, has now ascended his eighth peak above 8000 meters with this summit.
Secretary Alpine Club of Pakistan Karrar Haidri confirmed the Nanga Parbat summit by Kashif this morning and congratulated the young mountaineer for his remarkable achievement.
He also extended best wishes to the young mountaineer in his quest to become the youngest climber to summit 14 peaks above 8000 meters.

LAHORE: Pakistan’s mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has received acknowledgment from Guinness World Records as the youngest mountaineer to climb the world’s largest mountain, Mount Everest and second-largest, K2.
According to the details, Shehroze applied for Guinness World Records as the youngest climber of Mount Everest and K2. Shehroz aged 19 years and 138 days when he climbed Everest and at the age of 19 years and 169 days, he climbed K2.
Both of his records have been approved by Guinness World Records and he received certificates for them.
