She defended her husband’s legacy, insisting that Rollins had sacrificed more for the business than Punk could ever understand.

Punk didn’t hold back either, branding Rollins a coward and telling Lynch she was “more than just somebody’s wife,” before mocking her choice of partner.

The verbal battle escalated until Rollins appeared on the entrance ramp, daring Punk to say it to his face.

As CM Punk prepared to leave the ring, Becky Lynch stepped in his way and stunned him with a hard slap, drawing loud “AJ Lee” chants from the crowd, a nod to Punk’s wife and former WWE star.

Lynch quickly silenced the chants, reminding fans that AJ is no longer part of WWE.

The segment ended with Punk issuing a warning that both Rollins and Lynch would come to regret crossing him.

CM Punk gets medically cleared, set for in-ring return at SummerSlam

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar CM Punk on Monday, disclosed that he has been medically cleared to wrestle and is all set to face rival Drew McIntyre.

In the latest episode of Raw, Punk made a ground-breaking announcement that he has been given the green signal for the in-ring action and thus called out McIntyre for a fight.

Drew McIntyre came down to the ramp and declined Punk’s challenge for a match.

Before things got heated up between the two bitter rivals, Raw’s General Manager Adam Pearce intervened and announced that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre would face each other on SummerSlam, a premium WWE Live event, scheduled on August 3.

Additionally, Pearce made things more interesting by revealing that Set Rollins will serve as the Special Guest Referee in the highly-anticipated clash between Punk and McIntyre.

Raw’s GM, however, warned the two wrestlers from getting into a physical altercation before their bout and if violated, their match at SummerSlam would be called off and the first one to instigate would be suspended.

For the unversed, the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre started days after the former’s astounding return to the WWE after more than a decade as the “Scottish Warrior” expressed his dislikeness for “The Best in the World”.

After it was revealed that Punk had suffered a triceps injury during WWE Men’s Royal Rumble in January this year, McIntyre shared that he prayed for his downfall.

It turned out to be a massive mistake for McIntyre as Punk, in retaliation, cost him title opportunities on multiple occasions and even ruined his Wrestlemania moment.

On the grandest WWE premium event, McIntyre beat Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship but decided to taunt Punk, who was commentating on the match.

But things did not go McIntyre’s way as Punk, despite being injured unleashed an attack on him, which eventually paved the way for then Mr Money in the Bank Damien Priest to cash in his contract.

A few weeks ago, CM Punk also ruined Drew McIntyre’s attempt to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
