MANCHESTER: Pakistan’s right-arm speedster Hasan Ali, who is representing Lancashire in the ongoing County Championship 2022, took six wickets in his side’s fixture against Gloucestershire, here on Thursday.
After bagging five wickets in his debut county cricket match, Hasan regained his rhythm and form and claimed a six-wicket haul in the first innings against Gloucestershire.
The right-handed pacer bowled 17 overs, took six wickets, bowled as many maidens, and conceded only 47 runs.
Following his brilliant performance, Lancashire managed to fight back against Gloucestershire; managing to restrict the latter to 252 after the openers Marcus Harris and Chris Dent provided a solid start.
He has now taken 11 wickets in three innings so far in the ongoing County Championship 2022.

CANTERBURY: Pakistan’s right-arm speedster Hasan Ali, who is representing Lancashire County Cricket Club in the ongoing County Championship 2022, starred on his debut against Kent.
Hasan, who is playing his first match in county cricket, impressed with his wonderful bowling spell. The right-arm pacer bowled 43 overs in the match including 11 maiden overs.
The 27-years-old pacer shone on his county cricket debut for Lancashire; taking two wickets for 58 in the first innings and following it with three wickets for 36 runs in the second innings.
The combined efforts from the bowlers, helped the side dismiss Kent for 260 and 279 after the batters posted a mammoth 506 in the first innings and later chased down an easy 36 in the second innings to win the match by 10 wickets.

LANCASHIRE: Pakistan’s pacer – Hasan Ali has been signed by Lancashire Cricket for the upcoming 2022 County Championship.
Taking to Twitter, Lancashire announced the signing with the enterprising fast bowler.
According to the county club, Hasan will be available for at least the first two months of the season. The right-arm pacer is expected to make his English County debut against Kent at Canterbury on 14 April. He will be available until after Lancashire’s match against Essex which starts on 19 May at Emirates Old Trafford.
In a statement released by Lancashire, Hasan said he is excited to play county cricket for the first time in his career.
“I am very excited at the prospect of playing county cricket in England for the first time in my career,” he said.
“Emirates Old Trafford is a stadium which holds special memories for me, after making my T20 International debut against England there in 2016,” he added.
The 27-years-old pacer also shared his excitement for following the footsteps of the Pakistan great fast-bowler Wasim Akram.
“I am very proud to follow in the footsteps of Wasim Akram, a Pakistan legend, who always talks so highly of his time with Lancashire. I can’t wait to join up with the squad in April and I hope to make a significant contribution in the games that I play,” he concluded.
It is worth mentioning here that Hasan has picked 72 wickets at an average of 21 in Test matches and an overall First-Class tally of 244 wickets at 23.
