Blind Cricket: Pakistan beat India by 58 runs, win Triangular T20 Tournament

SHARJAH: In the final of the Triangular Blind T20 Tournament, Pakistan Blind Cricket Team sealed a comprehensive 58-runs victory over the arch-rivals India Blind Cricket Team to lift the trophy, here on Saturday.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Team completed their unbeaten run in the Triangular series as they beat India in the final by 58 runs.

Batting first Pakistan scored a mammoth 216/3 in the allotted 20 overs, thanks to the fifties from Badar Munir and Nisar Ali in the final of the tournament.

Badar scored a quickfire 63 off just 25 balls with the help of five boundaries and a six, while the skipper Nisar top-scored with 69 runs.

Set to chase 217, India could only manage to score 158 runs in the allotted 20 overs as tight bowling from Pakistan’s bowlers did not allow the opposition batters to score freely.

For his outstanding knock of 63 runs, Badar was adjudged as the Player of the Final of the recently concluded Triangular Blind T20 Cricket Tournament.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan enjoyed an unbeaten run before beating India in the final as the green shirts beat the arch-rivals and Banglades twice each to storm into the final.

Blind Cricket: Pakistan beat India to reach Triangular T20 Tournament Final

SHARJAH: Pakistan sealed a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over India in the ongoing Triangular Blind T20 Tournament and qualified for the final, here on Wednesday.

After opting to bat first, India managed to post 163/8 in the allotted 20 overs as Pakistani bowlers managed to keep things tight for the arch-rivals. Indian skipper Prakash Jayaramaih top-scored for his side with 79 runs off 64 balls, while Sunil Ramesh chipped in with 24 runs.

For Pakistan, Badar Munir, Shahzaib Haider, and Anees Javed claimed one wicket apiece.

Set to chase 164, Pakistan’s Badar Munir and Muhammad Rashid shone; scoring 64 each as the green shirts comfortably steered to the victory in the 19th over for the loss of just three wickets.

For his quickfire 64 off 34 balls, Badar was adjudged as the player of the match.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan have become the first team to book their place in the final of the ongoing tournament by securing three consecutive victories. The green shirts have beaten India twice in the ongoing series.

Blind Cricket: Pakistan beat India by 29 runs in Triangular T-20 Tournament

SHARJAH: In the opening match of the ongoing Triangular T-20 Blind Cricket Tournament, Pakistan outclassed the arch-rivals India by 29 runs, here on Sunday.

In the opening match of the Triangular series, India invited Pakistan to bat first after the coin flipped in the former’s favour.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a commendable total of 191/9 in the allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Rashid top-scored for the Green shirts with his outstanding knock of 48 runs, while Badar also chipped in with 24 runs.

For India, Parkash led the bowling chart; taking three wickets for just 11 runs.

In the run chase, the Pakistan bowling attack went hard and restricted India to 162/6 in the allotted 20 overs despite the fifties from Durga Rao and Venkatesh, who scored 54 and 48 runs respectively.

Pakistan’s Shahzaib Hyder led the bowling attack as he picked two wickets.

For his brilliant performance with the bat, Rashid was adjudged as the Player of the match.
